Pivovarov doesn’t know why Dynamo fans booed Smolov
Dynamo General Director Pavel Pivovarov could not find an answer to the question of why the capital club’s fans booed the team’s former striker Fedor Smolov during the game with Krasnodar.
After the end of last season, Smolov left Dynamo and moved to Krasnodar as a free agent. The club and the 34-year-old striker negotiated an extension of the agreement, but could not reach an agreement. On August 25, Dynamo lost to Krasnodar at home – 0:1.
— Are you surprised that the stands greeted Fyodor Smolov with whistles?
– Smolov was useful to both Dynamo and Krasnodar. He behaved quite correctly towards the fans of both clubs. Dynamo parted ways with Fedor on good terms, they just didn’t come to an agreement.
— Why did the fans react that way then?
“It’s hard to speak for the spectators. I was happy to greet Smolov after the match,” RB Sport quotes Pivovarov as saying.
