Former Dutch and Barcelona footballer Neeskens dies at 74
Former footballer of the Dutch national team, Ajax and Barcelona, Johan Neeskens, died at the age of 73, the press service of the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) reported.

Neeskens is a two-time silver medalist at the FIFA World Cup and bronze medalist at the European Championship. He played 49 matches for the Dutch national team and scored 17 goals. At club level, Neeskens played for Ajax, Barcelona, New York Cosmos and Groningen.
After finishing his football career, the Dutchman was an assistant to Guus Hiddink and Frank Rijkaard in the Dutch national team, Neeskens also worked with Hiddink in the Australian national team and with Rijkaard in Barcelona and Galatasaray.
