“The most difficult moment of adaptation to Sturm is already over for Khudyakov” – Kafanov
Goalkeeper coach of the Russian national team Vitaly Kafanov spoke about the adaptation of goalkeeper Daniil Khudyakov to the Austrian Sturm.
Khudyakov is 20 years old, he graduated from the Lokomotiv academy in 2020, and in September 2021 he made his debut as part of the adult team. In total, he took part in 34 matches for Lokomotiv in all tournaments, and in July he moved to the Austrian Sturm as a free agent, signing a contract until 2028.
— Do you communicate with Daniil Khudyakov? How is he doing?
“I haven’t talked to him for a long time.” Now I’m waiting for his debut, Danya is working well and is waiting for his chance.
— Did Khudyakov go through an adaptation period?
— When we last talked, he said that he was used to the team and the requirements of the coaching staff. All that’s left is to learn the language. But the most difficult moment in adaptation is already behind us,” Kafanov told Metaratings.ru.
