I expected more from Akron; they are in the middle of the standings. True, this is largely due to their good attack, but they play weakly on defense. In this regard, the team is strikingly different from another debutant – Dynamo from Makhachkala. Spartak launched an assault from the first minutes, played at a high tempo, had a lot of possession and, naturally, with such pressure, the opponents began to make mistakes in defense.

As expected, the loss of Litvinov did not affect Spartak. Stankovic did not place Prutsev, probably for tactical reasons. He could have been released in the second half as a freshman in case of any problems, but this was not necessary. The “red and whites” acted exemplarily, they stifled Akron, but did not take advantage of many chances, plus Volkov played well. In the second half, Spartak quickly scored and actually decided the outcome of the match. Akron needs to do something on defense. We defended ourselves with great strength, but still made many mistakes. There may be problems with psychology. Even before the starting whistle, they “lose” to the favorites and do not perform at the level possible for themselves on the field.

Dziuba makes no sense in such games at all. He is dangerous in the penalty area, but he cannot put pressure or cling to balls in the middle of the field. While he was on the field, he was empty, zero, did not create anything. Tedeev needs to think about when and where to use it. In this meeting, in principle, it was possible not to let him on the field at all.
