First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Football Federation (ABFF) Andrei Vasilevich said that football players Vitaly Lisakovich, Pavel Savitsky and Valery Bocherov did not go to the match with Northern Ireland in the Nations League not because of the refusal to issue a British visa.
— The information that our national team players Lisakovich, Savitsky and Bocherov were not given visas to travel to Northern Ireland is not true. Yes, these players will indeed not travel with the team to Belfast for the Nations League match, but the reason for their absence is different.
These are internal issues of our team and federation, and we will provide all the information after the games with Northern Ireland and Bulgaria,” Sport24 quotes Vasilevich as saying.
The Belarusian national team plays in the Nations League in Group 3 of Division C. On November 15, the Belarusians will play in a group stage match against the Northern Ireland team, and on November 18 they will meet with the Bulgarian team. The Belarusian team with 6 points takes second place in the quartet.
