Ex-CSKA football player Grishin: “It’s stupid to deny that Chalov is playing poorly now”

Former CSKA football player Alexander Grishin critically assessed the playing form of Russian national team striker Fedor Chalov.

This season, the Russian forward played in 19 matches for the Greek PAOK in all tournaments, scored one goal and provided two assists.

— Speaking about the situation with Chalov, it happens that he doesn’t succeed in this segment. Let’s hope that Fedor will now rethink some things and play at his level. But it’s stupid to deny that he’s performing poorly now. Everything is in his hands, we need to keep working, don’t pay attention to anyone and start scoring – then confidence will come.

Everything is through work and training, it depends on his character. You can give up the oars and go with the flow, or you can fight, gain respect for yourself and start playing like when you are in good shape. I wish him to get out of this state and start playing well,” the Championship quotes Grishin as saying.

Chalov moved to PAOK from CSKA in August 2024.
