Chernov: “It’s a pity that there’s a winter break ahead, but everything will be fine for Spartak in the spring”

Spartak Moscow defender Nikita Chernov believes that the winter break will not affect the team’s results after the winning streak.

Spartak has won its last six matches in the RPL and is third in the table with 37 points. Ahead are Krasnodar and Zenit (39 points each). The Russian football championship will resume in March after a winter break.

“Judging by the results, it’s a pity that there’s a winter break ahead.” But we must keep in mind that our guys were away from home. I need to go home and take a breath. To some extent, a pause is good. The championship could have been extended a little (smiles). Everything will be fine in the spring. When we arrive, we’ll remember what demands the coach said before. If there are any deviations from that game, the coach will immediately let you know. A couple of rounds will be enough for adaptation,” the Championship quotes Chernov as saying.
