Dziuba: “He was ready to end his career when Goldman found an option with Acron

Acron striker Artem Dziuba told Match TV that he was ready to finish his professional career before the moment when his representative Leonid Goldman organized a transition to Acron.

Dziuba replenished the composition of Akron in September, concluding a contract until the end of the season – 2024/25. This season, the striker scored 6 goals as part of the Togliatti club. In March, Dziuba broke two records of Alexander Kerzhakov, at first becoming the best scorer in the history of Russian football, and later going around his goals as part of the Russian national team.

– He did not say this anywhere, although it was already necessary to say for a long time. I would like to, taking this opportunity, separately thank Leonid Goldman. Recently, there was a lot of attention to me, and I did not know how to say it more correctly. But if not for this person, there would be (for me) neither Acron, nor the national team, nor everything else. It was he who, until the last, believed that they would still call me to the national team when I already doubted and did not believe.

He found the option with Acron, he agreed at the last moment. At that moment, to be honest, I already thought that everything – I would end. Therefore, everything that happened later was probably even more here than mine.
