Ex -football player Zenit Witsel became the player “Girona”

The former Zenit midfielder Axel Witsel became the player of Girona, the press service of the Spanish club reports.
The 36 -year -old Belgian midfielder signed a contract with the club according to the 1+1 scheme.
Witsel was in the status of a free agent. The last club of the football player was the Madrid “Atletico”, from where he left in June after the contract.
Witsel played for Zenit from 2012 to 2016, as part of the “blue -white -blue” he became the champion of Russia, the holder of the Cup and the two -time winner of the Russian Super Cup.
