A friendly football match between the national teams of Argentina and Puerto Rico, which was supposed to take place in Chicago, was moved to Florida due to an emergency situation in the city, the AP claims.

The match was scheduled to take place on October 13 at Soldier Field in Chicago, but was moved to Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was previously reported that the postponement was due to very poor ticket sales for the game.

According to AP, the decision to postpone was made after US President Donald Trump sent the National Guard to the Chicago area, presumably to suppress protests against stricter immigration laws.

More than 1,000 migrants have been arrested in Chicago this fall. The Trump administration has vowed to use National Guard troops to speed up the deportation of illegal immigrants. Following this, protests began in Chicago.
