Defender of the Russian national team Viktor Melekhin did not immediately hear the question about his injured ear, but later he understood the text and said that he felt fine.
On Friday, the Russian team beat the Iranian team with a score of 2:1 in a BetBoom friendly match in Volgograd. In the 83rd minute, Alireza Jahanbakhsh received a yellow card for a direct kick to Melekhin’s head. A few minutes later the defender was replaced. After the game, the head coach of the Russian national team, Valery Karpin, said that the football player’s ear was torn. Also, numerous marks from thorns remained on Melekhin’s neck.
