RPL clubs spent a record amount in the summer transfer window over the past 5 years
Clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL) spent a record amount in the summer transfer window of the current season, the press service of the organization reports.
The total amount spent by Russian clubs in the last transfer window was a record 138.71 million euros. The previous achievement was set in the 2024/25 season (132.567 million euros).
It is noted that the most expensive football players by role were central midfielders, their average cost was 4.46 million euros. Next come left backs (2.281 million euros) and central defenders (1.904 million euros).
The summer transfer window in Russia was open from June 20 to September 11.
