Glushenkov – about the match with Dynamo: “During the break we talked in the locker room – and put the pressure on the opponent”
Zenit St. Petersburg striker Maxim Glushenkov said on Match TV that the St. Petersburg team was able to put the squeeze on Dynamo Moscow in the second half of the match of the 13th round of the MIR RPL after a conversation in the locker room.
The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the “blue-white-blue”; Glushenkov gave an assist to Andrei Mostovoy in the first half and was recognized as the best player of the match. The winning goal was scored by Gustavo Mantuan in the 71st minute.
“We missed an unnecessary first goal, which didn’t come out of the game, but then we regrouped a little, scored one, talked in the locker room during the break, and put the pressure on the opponent,” Glushenkov said on Match TV.
Zenit is fourth in the Russian Championship standings with 26 points. In the next round, Sergei Semak’s team will host Lokomotiv Moscow on November 1.
