On Wednesday, the Peruvian national team drew with the Russian team with a score of 1:1 in a friendly match. The meeting took place at the Gazprom Arena in St. Petersburg.
“For the Peruvian national team, the match with the Russians was important. We are currently rebuilding the team, a new generation is coming,” Rios said. — Our team is mainly made up of players from the local league. So it was interesting to see this formation in the match against the Russians.”
“We understand that the Russian national team is one of the biggest teams in the world. Therefore, we expected a competitive match. Of course, we know that there are strong players there, one of them is Alexander Golovin of Monaco,” Rios added.
