Trump will welcome Cristiano Ronaldo to the White House
US President Donald Trump will meet with Portuguese national team player Cristiano Ronaldo at the White House on Tuesday, Mundo Deportivo reports.
Earlier, Ronaldo, in an interview with journalist Piers Morgan, expressed a desire to meet with the American leader.
Trump will also host Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Tuesday. Ronaldo plays for the Saudi club Al-Nasr. It is not yet known whether their visits to Washington are related.
Ronaldo is 40 years old, he is a five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or, a five-time winner of the Champions League, a European champion, a two-time winner of the Nations League, and the top scorer in the history of national teams, European championships and the Champions League.
The Portuguese national team on Sunday qualified for the final tournament of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
