Midfielder and captain of the Moscow football club Lokomotiv Dmitry Barinov he will not renew his contract with the team. Sport-Express reports it.
According to the source, on Wednesday the player rejected the definitive offer for the extension of the contract, which expires at the end of the current season.
Barinov is 29 years old. He graduated from Lokomotiv, for whose main team he played 273 matches in various tournaments, scoring 13 goals and 27 assists. As part of the club, the footballer won the Russian Cup three times (2017, 2019, 2021) and the championship once (2018) and the national Super Cup (2019).
Barinov took part in 23 matches for the Russian national team, recording 2 assists. Together with the national team, he participated in the final part of the European Championship, which took place in the summer of 2021. In this tournament, the Russian team won one match out of three and could not leave the group.
