Lovchev: “In the fight for the championship this year I see two contenders – Zenit and Krasnodar”
Former Spartak footballer Evgeniy Lovchev called Zenit and Krasnodar the main contenders in the fight for the championship this year.
After 18 rounds of the WORLD RPL Zenit (39 points) is in second position in the standings, one point behind the leading Krasnodar.
– In the fight for the championship this year I see two contenders – Zenit and Krasnodar. The teams have now learned to play against Semak’s team and are showing indoor football. The same Akron, Rubin and other clubs have simplified their game to the point of disgrace. This is why it’s difficult for Zenit, they understand that they need to score one goal and the opponent’s football will change, their defense will open up. But I still can’t understand what Zenit lacks to confidently take their points,” Lovchev told Match TV.
