Bordeaux goalkeeper coach Wilfried Rastall received a long disqualification for insulting a referee, RMC Sport reports.
In November, the Bordeaux team met with Maser Juzo Rontignon in the 1/8 finals of the French Cup and won with a score of 4:3.
At the end of the game, Wilfried Rastol got into an altercation with the referee and, according to information entered into the protocol, allowed himself harsh and insulting remarks towards the referee. In the 89th minute, the coach was sent off from the touchline.
The disciplinary commission decided to disqualify the offender for 12 months, 3 of which are suspended.
Six-time French champion Bordeaux was deprived of professional status in 2024 due to financial problems and now plays in the fourth division of the French championship – National 2.
