“Wolverhampton” repeated the anti-record of the English football championships for points scored in the first 17 matches of the season, reports OptaJoe.
Wolves have collected two points from 17 games in the Premier League this season without winning a single victory. They have lost their last 10 matches in a row.
Only once in history has an English top-flight team started so weakly. It was Sheffield United in the 2020/21 Premier League season. At the end of that season, Sheffield scored 23 points, but finished in last 20th place and were eliminated from the Premier League.
In the match of the 18th round of the Premier League, Wolverhampton will play against Liverpool away on December 27.
