Safonov joked that while recovering from a hand injury, he plays Quidditch
Russian PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov joked that after breaking his arm, he is playing the fictional sport from the Harry Potter universe, quidditch.
Safonov broke his hand during the penalty shootout in the Intercontinental Cup final on December 17. The injury occurred when he saved the third shot in the series, and Matvey took two more penalties with the injury. On Friday, the PSG press service reported that the Russian would miss up to four weeks.
— I looked at the contract. Among the prohibited extreme sports, I did not find an item about Quidditch. “I’m taking advantage of a loophole,” Safonov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Quidditch is a fictional team game from the Harry Potter universe, created by British writer JK Rowling.
