Chevalier congratulated Marin on his debut for PSG; he did not write anything to Safonov during the season
PSG goalkeeper Luca Chevalier congratulated goalkeeper Renato Marin on his debut for the Parisian club.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper took the field in the French Cup 1/32 final match against Fontenay (4:0).
“Congratulations, my friend,” Chevalier wrote on the social network.
At the same time, the French goalkeeper had not previously written any congratulatory posts to Russian Matvey Safonov, even after PSG’s victory in the Intercontinental Cup.
The meeting between PSG and the Brazilian Flamengo took place in Ar Rayyan (Qatar) and ended with the Parisians winning in a penalty shootout. (1:1, 2:1 on pens), Safonov saved four shots in a row and was recognized as the best player of the match. On Friday, the Parisians’ press service reported that the goalkeeper was diagnosed with a fracture of his left arm, the Russian will miss up to four weeks.
Chevalier joined PSG from Lille in the summer transfer window and was the team’s main goalkeeper until his injury, playing all matches.
