Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes will miss about a month due to an injury received in the match of the 17th round of the English Championship against Aston Villa, The Telegraph reports.
Sunday’s meeting in Birmingham ended in a 1-2 defeat for United, with Fernandes being substituted at half-time. After the match, Mancunian head coach Ruben Amorim suggested that the 31-year-old Portuguese had soft tissue damage. According to the publication, Fernandes will miss about a month.
Fernandes has played 18 matches for Manchester United this season, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.
Amorim’s team is seventh in the Premier League standings with 26 points.
