Yakubko about Stankovic: “The coach of the national team cannot behave like that”

Former Slovakia national team striker Martin Jakubko said that ex-head coach of Spartak Dejan Stankovic showed inappropriate behavior while working at the Moscow club.

Stankovic left Spartak on November 11. The Serb has worked at the club since the summer of 2024 and has not managed to win a single trophy with the team. Vadim Romanov was appointed acting head coach.

– Stankovic surprised me. He behaved like that and probably got what he needed for it. The coach of the national team, as Spartak is called in Russia, cannot behave like this. All the people are looking at this. I understand that the coach wants to be tough so that the players fulfill his task, but for me to behave this way is too much. Talk to the guys in the locker room, where the door is closed, as you want, but on the sideline you should look like the coach of Spartak,” RB Sport quotes Yakubko.

Over 18 rounds of the WORLD RPL, Spartak scored 29 points and ranks sixth in the standings.
