Stankovic: “I don’t believe that Marquinhos will be able to move to Red Star.” It is also unrealistic to expect Barco and Ugalde to move from Spartak
Red Star head coach Dejan Stankovic said that he would like to see the leaders of Spartak in the Serbian club, but does not believe in the reality of such transfers.
On Monday, Red Star announced the appointment of a Serbian specialist as head coach.
“I don’t believe that Marquinhos will be able to move to Red Star due to financial difficulties, since he has taken his career to a higher level.
It is also unrealistic to expect Barco and Ugalde to move from Spartak. We will also not invite players from Italy, although this was the practice last time,” Sportal quotes the coach as saying.
In November, Stankovic left Spartak Moscow. The Serb has worked for the Russian club since the summer of 2024 and failed to win a single trophy with the team.
