Vitaly Kafanov continues to work as a goalkeeping coach for the Russian national football team. This was reported by the press officer of the Russian national team Ekaterina Grishenkova.
Previously inside Average information appeared that Kafanov is the main candidate for the post of head coach of Rubin Kazan, which intends to fire the current coach of the team Rashida Rakhimova.
“We do not comment on the rumors that have appeared. Vitaly Vitalievich Kafanov continues to work as a goalkeeping coach of the Russian national football team,” Grishenkova said.
Rakhimov has led Rubin since April 2023. After 18 rounds, the Kazan team has scored 23 points and ranks seventh in the Russian championship table.
