“I would like the judges to be seen off beautifully” – ex-FIFA referee Nikolaev
Former FIFA referee Alexey Nikolaev said that in Russian refereeing there is a trend toward younger personnel.
— Our judicial corps is rejuvenating. Leading referees are ending their careers. The course chosen is for rejuvenation. Somewhere, maybe artificially. A little earlier than necessary, in my opinion.

“I would like the judges to have a nice farewell.” And not the way we deal with people who were judged for 200 games in the RPL,” Nikolaev said on the air of the “Results of the Year” program on the MATCH PREMIER TV channel.
