Zenit published a New Year’s video featuring Semak and the team’s players
St. Petersburg Zenit published a New Year’s video on its website, in which the players and the team’s head coach Sergei Semak took part.
The video presents the story of a fan, Misha, who is used to celebrating the New Year in the Zenit bar and intends to do it again, but his wife Olya has completely different plans for this evening. The blue-white-blue football players come to the aid of the main character, and with their help Misha begins to understand what is most important in life.
In addition to Semak, players Nino, Vendel, Alexander Erokhin, Strahinja Erakovic and Vanja Drkusic took part in the filming. The role of the narrator was played by Konstantin Khabensky, the authors of the musical accompaniment were Evgeny Trofimov and Roman Rudyko.
After 18 rounds, Zenit ranks second in the Russian Championship standings with 39 points. The gap from the leading Krasnodar is one point. Zenit will play against Baltika Kaliningrad in the first match after the resumption of the season on February 28.
