Head of the Russian Football Federation (RFU) Alexander Diukov did not influence the decision of the coach of the Russian national team Valeria Karpina leave Dinamo Moscow. Dyukov told journalists about this.
In November, Karpin announced his resignation as Dynamo’s head coach. He has been leading the team since the summer.
“It was Valery Georgievich’s decision. For my part, I had no influence on him. At the same time, I don’t see any connection between Valery Georgievich’s decision and the results of the team’s last two matches. In the match against the Peruvian national team in St. Petersburg, we could have won. As for the match with Chile in Sochi, I can’t say that the team looked worse than the opponent, but, of course, did not play enough to win,” Dyukov noted.
