The President of the Russian Football Union (RFU), Alexander Dyukov, said that he is not familiar with the statements of referee Egor Egorov about receiving funds from the former general director of Torpedo Valery Skorodumov.

On Tuesday, journalist Ivan Karpov reported on his Telegram channel that referees Yuri Karpov and Egor Egorov, who officiated Torpedo games in the First League against Tula Arsenal and Krasnoyarsk Yenisei, admitted to receiving money from Valery Skorodumov, who held the post of general director of the Black and Whites. The RFU reported that it could conduct an additional examination of these matches.

— Information has emerged that referee Egor Egorov was detained and questioned by law enforcement agencies. The media reported that he admitted to receiving money from Torpedo, but did not influence the result. Will he work next season at RPL matches? And how many more arbitrators can follow his path?

“The investigation is ongoing, and until it is completed, we cannot give any comments.” I am not familiar with Egorov’s statements. Our refereeing and inspection department conducted an analysis of the Torpedo matches that Egorov officiated. In these games, our experts did not see any erroneous decisions by the referee that could have affected the result,” the Match TV correspondent reports Dyukov’s words.
