“I’m no longer looking forward to being called up to the Russian national team” – Rostov forward Golenkov
Rostov forward Egor Golenkov admitted that he is no longer looking forward to being called up to the Russian national team.
This season, the 26-year-old forward has played 24 matches in all competitions and scored four goals and also made three assists.
— I expect a lot from the coming year. Get into the top 8 of the RPL, definitely score more goals than in the first part of the season. What exactly is missing is the implementation. Otherwise, I would leave everything.
Do I expect to get into the Russian national team in 2026? I’m not looking forward to it anymore, to be honest. I was at my peak when Valery Karpin was the head coach of Rostov.
