Mostovoy: “I would like to see more talk about Spartak’s football, but mostly all sorts of non-football topics are discussed”

Former Spartak footballer Alexander Mostovoy said that he would like to see more discussion of the team’s performance, rather than rumors around the club.

Earlier during the current season, Dejan Stankovic left the post of head coach of Spartak. Vadim Romanov was appointed acting head coach of the team.

— Spartak is the main and most talked about club of the year. There is always great attention to him. No other club is discussed so often in the media. Literally every day they ask something about Spartak.

Of course, I would like to see more talk about football, about the game of the “red-whites”, but mostly all sorts of non-football topics, rumors and gossip are discussed.

Now the club does not have a coach – they offer no matter who they are: both from Cyprus and from Malta. You look at this and are amazed. “When so many of our specialists are nearby, but they still look towards foreigners,” RB Sport quotes Mostovoy as saying.

Spartak is sixth in the Russian Championship standings with 29 points.
