Former Russian national team player Alexander Mostovoy believes that Russian midfielder of Real Sociedad Arsen Zakharyan is doing the right thing by continuing to fight for a place in the starting lineup of the Spanish club.
This season, 22-year-old Zakharyan played 14 matches for Real Sociedad in all tournaments, scoring one goal.
— It’s difficult to evaluate this year for Zakharyan, because at first there were injuries, and then he slowly began to get in shape and play. But Arsen does everything right. Another could have given up long ago and asked to go back, but he remains in Spain and fights for his place. We must continue to work and not give up on our dreams. In addition, he has a good, long contract. He will always have time to return to the RPL; they will take him back here at the age of 30. In the meantime, we need to try to gain a foothold there,” RB Sport quotes Mostovoy.
