Putin awarded Galitsky and Gadzhiev with the Order of Friendship for their services in the development of physical culture and sports
Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the owner and president of Krasnodar Sergei Galitsky and the president of Dynamo Makhachkala Gadzhi Gadzhiev with the Order of Friendship, it follows from the decree of the head of state.
Galitsky and Gadzhiev were awarded for their services to the development of physical culture and sports, as well as many years of conscientious work.
Galitsky founded Krasnodar in 2008. In the 2024/25 season, the team became the champion of Russia for the first time in history.
Gadzhiev is an honored football coach of Russia. In 1988, as coach of the USSR national team, he became an Olympic champion. Gadzhiev coached such teams as Samara’s Krylyev Sovetov, Makhachkala’s Anzhi and Ramen’s Saturn.
The 1972 Olympic champion and two-time world champion in freestyle wrestling Zagalav Abdulbekov was awarded the Order of Honor.
