FIFA announced that it received more than 150 million requests for tickets to the 2026 World Cup in 15 days.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) said on its website that fans have submitted more than 150 million applications for tickets to the 2026 World Cup as part of the third stage of sales.
It is noted that applications came from more than 200 countries, and demand exceeds supply 30 times.
“The 2026 World Cup will be the biggest and most inclusive event on the planet, with more than 150 million ticket requests submitted in the first 15 days, demonstrating incredible demand from fans. This overwhelming response is a true reflection of the love for football around the world,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The current ticket sales phase will end on January 13, 2026.
The World Championships will be held in the USA, Mexico and Canada. The tournament starts on June 11, and the final match will take place on July 19. For the first time in the history of the World Cup, 48 teams will take part.
