The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has identified 211 people in professional leagues who have placed illegal bets on matches over the past five years, the organization’s press service reports.

According to a TFF statement, 108 coaches and 103 managers will be involved in the case.

It was previously announced that 26 suspects in the case of betting on football matches will appear in court in Turkey. Police conducted searches in 11 provinces and detained 26 of 29 suspects, including 14 football players, former Galatasaray vice-president Erden Timur, a police officer, Eyuspor vice-president Fatih Kulaksiz and TFF director of international relations and national teams Bugra Cem Imamoglullar.
