Zhirkov said that he agreed to work on the Dynamo coaching staff under Gusev
Former Russian national team player Yuri Zhirkov said that he accepted an offer to join the coaching staff of Dynamo Moscow.
Zhirkov played for Dynamo from 2013 to 2016. In February 2023, the football player announced his retirement from his professional career.
— Is it true that I joined the Dynamo coaching staff? Management hasn’t announced anything yet.
But Rolan Gusev invited me to join the coaching staff, I agreed,” RB Sport quotes Zhirkov as saying.
At the end of December, Dynamo approved Rolan Gusev as the team’s head coach until the end of the 2025/26 season. The specialist acted as head coach of the Blue and White at the end of last season, and also since mid-November, when Valery Karpin left Dynamo.
After 18 rounds, the Moscow team ranks 10th in the RPL standings.
