Arsenal midfielder Gabriel Martinelli said he apologized to Liverpool midfielder Conor Bradley for his behavior at the end of the 21st round match of the English Championship.
The meeting, held on Thursday in London, ended with a score of 0:0. Bradley suffered a leg injury at the end of the match. The Liverpool footballer was lying on the lawn and waiting for help from doctors when Martinelli approached him. The Brazilian first threw the ball at Bradley and then began to push him out of the field. The Northern Irishman left the stadium on crutches.
“Conor and I exchanged messages, I apologized to him. In the heat of the fight, I really didn’t realize that Bradley was seriously injured. I want to say that I deeply regret my reaction. Once again I wish Conor a speedy recovery,” Martinelli wrote on the social network.
Arsenal leads the Premier League standings with 49 points, Liverpool (35) is fourth.
