Haaland named Norwegian Footballer of the Year for the sixth time in a row

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland received the award for the best footballer of the year in Norway, the press service of the Norwegian Football Association reports.
Holland won the award for the sixth time in a row. Last season, the 25-year-old forward played 48 matches in all competitions and scored 34 goals. In 2025, as part of the national team, the Norwegian scored 17 goals in nine matches, the Norwegian national team qualified for the final stage of the 2026 World Cup.
— It was an interesting year, a lot happened. Reaching the World Cup is an incredibly important event. This was without a doubt the highlight of the year for me. It’s fantastic to be part of this and finally achieve this result. So this is a great achievement, we are incredibly happy about it,” Haaland said.
Barcelona player Caroline Hansen was named the best female footballer of the year in Norway.
