The match took place in Saudi Arabia and ended with the victory of Barcelona with a score of 3:2. After receiving the second place medal, the French striker signaled his teammates to leave the pitch and head to the changing rooms. Mbappe came on as a substitute in the 76th minute and played his first game since injuring knee ligaments.
The Spanish Super Cup has been held since 1982. The tournament record holder for number of victories is Barcelona (16). Real Madrid is in second place in this indicator with 13 titles.
