Orenburg removed the midfielder Romana Eremenko by the team for withdrawal, as there is still no agreement on his participation. This was announced by the club’s deputy director for Commerce and Communications Yuri Arakelyan.
In the initial post on the Orenburg Telegram channel it was noted that the 38-year-old Eremenko was on trial with the team and would be going with the team to a training camp in Türkiye. “At the moment there are no clear agreements with Roman Alekseevich Eremenko. There have been contacts,” Arakelyan said. — But there is no agreement yet on whether he will fly with the team to training camp. If anything changes, the club will inform further.”
Eremenko’s last club was Finnish Gnistan, for which he played since 2024. Previously, the midfielder played for Moscow CSKA and Spartak, Rostov and Rubin Kazan, with whom they won the Russian Cup and the national Super Cup. During his career, Eremenko also represented the Finns Honka, HIFK and Jaro, the Italians Siena and Udinese and Dynamo Kiev, with which he won the Ukrainian championship.
In 2016, Eremenko was banned for two years by the disciplinary committee of the Union of European Football Associations for finding traces of cocaine in a doping sample. The footballer was born in Moscow, but played for the Finnish national team, for which he played 73 matches and scored 8 goals.
