Football player Dmitry Barinov he does not consider himself a traitor after moving from Lokomotiv Moscow to the capital CSKA. He wrote about it on social networks.
On Tuesday CSKA announced the transfer of Barinov from Lokomotiv, the term of the contract expires until the end of the 2028/29 season.
“I feel bad when I read your negative comments, but I often made emotional statements and you accepted me for who I am. Because absolutely each of us has the right to our own opinions and emotions, but I have nothing but a feeling of gratitude towards our fans for all these years: for the “Steel Rail” (award for the best player of the season according to Lokomotiv fans – approx.), for the general moments of happiness and moments of temporary failures. We have been together for half of my life and I am proud of our history: I want to ask you not to rewrite it, I am not a traitor,” Barinov wrote.
“Yes, I have decided to leave my home, but I am sure of one thing: Lokomotiv and the fans will always be in my heart”, added the footballer.
Barinov is 29 years old. He graduated from Lokomotiv, for whose main team he played 274 matches in various tournaments, scoring 13 goals and 27 assists. As part of the club, the footballer won the Russian Cup three times (2017, 2019, 2021) and the championship once (2018) and the national Super Cup (2019).
