Match TV host and commentator Dmitry Guberniev said that he does not consider the transfer of Lokomotiv captain Dmitry Barinov to CSKA a high-profile transfer.

On Tuesday, Barinov moved from Lokomotiv to CSKA. According to the army press service, the 29-year-old midfielder signed a contract until the end of the 2028/29 season. The midfielder will play for CSKA under number 6. On Tuesday, he went with the team to training camp in Abu Dhabi.

– No way. The player chooses, the clubs come to an agreement. His contract is expiring and he decided to play for a new team. Footballers have left and will continue to leave, Lokomotiv will not disappear, CSKA will probably become stronger. Barinov is a good footballer, I wish Lokomotiv, CSKA and Dmitry personally every success.

“People’s love is like the wind, you need to treat it speculatively,” Guberniev told Match TV.

Barinov spent his entire career at Lokomotiv; a graduate of the club’s academy made his debut for the main team in May 2015. In total, he played 274 matches for the railway workers, scored 13 goals and gave 27 assists. As part of the club, he became the champion of Russia, won four Cups and one Super Cup of the country.
