Manchester City defeated Newcastle away in the first leg of the English League Cup semi-final.
The match ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the guests. The goals were scored by Antoine Semenyo and Ryan Sherki.
The return game will take place on February 4 in Manchester.
Arsenal and Chelsea meet in the second semi-final. The teams’ first match will take place on Wednesday, the return game will take place on February 3.
Newcastle are the current holders of the trophy.
