Alexander Mostovoy expressed in poetry his desire to become Carcedo’s assistant at Spartak
Former Spartak Moscow midfielder Alexander Mostovoy recorded a video on the Telegram channel, in which he expressed in poetry his desire to become an assistant to the head coach of the “red-whites” Juan Carcedo.
Carcedo was appointed to the post of head coach of Spartak on January 5. The 52-year-old Spaniard’s agreement with the Red and Whites runs until the summer of 2028.
— For the umpteenth time in a row, a miracle coach has come to Moscow, they say. And we’ll say it again: put Mostovoy as an assistant at Spartak,” Mostovoy said in the video.
The Spaniard’s previous club was Cypriot Paphos, which he coached since the summer of 2023. Under his leadership, the team became the champion of Cyprus last season and qualified for the Champions League. Carcedo already worked for Spartak in 2012 as an assistant to Unai Emery.
Based on the results of 18 rounds of the WORLD RPL, Spartak is in sixth place, 11 points behind the leading Krasnodar.
