The mother of former CSKA Moscow football player Lionel Adams is sure that her son was killed, and friends insist on the version of suicide due to unrequited love, reports the Mash on Sports Telegram channel.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Moscow region police told Match TV that Adams had died.
As noted in the material, Maria Viktorovna said that Lionel did not have a girlfriend, the last time they communicated was before the New Year. The day before, Adams tried to call his mother, but she did not answer, and when she got free, it was too late; her son did not answer the phone.
In December, his mother tried to visit Adams while he was being treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds. Doctors claimed Adams left the medical facility without warning.
In December, Adams was beaten and wounded with a pistol in Zvenigorod, near Moscow.
During his career, Adams played for the youth team of CSKA, Krasnoyarsk Yenisei, KAMAZ from Naberezhnye Chelny and clubs from Kazakhstan, Belarus and Spain. In addition, he was called up to the Russian U18 national team. Adams has recently been a free agent.
