Arshavin: Rostov will solve the problem with the transfer ban. They’ll definitely scrape together 500 thousand”
Former Zenit St. Petersburg football player Andrei Arshavin said on Match TV that the transfer ban is not a serious problem for Rostov.
On Wednesday, the International Football Federation (FIFA) banned Rostov from registering new players during three transfer windows. The club later reported that the club remained in debt to Uruguayan side Penarol for the transfer of midfielder Rodrigo Saravia.
— I think that Rostov will solve this problem. The club is not new to such problems. It seems to me that if they pay, then the ban will be lifted. All the same, Rostov has someone to play for. It’s not the most difficult situation, 500 thousand will definitely be scraped together,” Arshavin said on the air of the “Everyone for the Match!” program.
Rostov (21 points) ranks 11th in the Russian Championship standings.
