Karpin: “Everyone at Real Sociedad is really looking forward to Zakharyan’s return”

The management of Real Sociedad anxiously awaits the return of the Russian midfielder to the field Arsen Zakharyanwhich is restored after damage. The coach of the Russian national team told the press Valery Karpin.

Recall that Zakharyan could not take part in the match of the 20th round of the Spanish Examples against Barcelona (2:1) due to muscle problems. Representatives of the club’s press service informed that the player will also miss the next match with Celta, scheduled for January 25.

“Arsene doesn’t just have injuries, or even many. He has a slight mechanical injury to the muscle, which caused a small micro-tear. It can happen to anyone. It took him a long time to recover from a mechanical injury to his ankle; his physiology and physical condition have nothing to do with it; there could also be viruses. I think he himself is perplexed. Everyone in the club is also waiting for his return, they believe, they hope,” Karpin said.

Mbappe scored a penalty with a “panenka” and dedicated it to Brahim Diaz

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe scored a penalty at the end of the La Liga match against Villarreal (2:0).

As the Real Madrid striker left the Estadio de la Ceramica last night, he was asked if the penalty had been in the style of Antonina Panenki something to do with Brahim Diaz. In the recent African Cup of Nations final, the Moroccan missed a penalty kick in the last seconds of the match against Senegal, hitting it with a “panenka”.

Mbappé, well aware of what was being asked of him, said: “Yes, I fully support him.”

Mbappe’s decision to dedicate the Panenka-style penalty to Brahim sparked mixed reactions from fans.

Some understand it and see it as a noble gesture towards a teammate in difficulty, while others see it as a real mockery: scoring a goal that the Moroccan failed to score and then dedicating it to him, reminding him of the failure.

The Liverpool manager Arne Slot He blamed fatigue for his team’s 95th-minute goal at Bournemouth, which led to a 2-3 defeat in the Premier League.

“For the last five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10 games we’ve basically been forced to play with the same players, the ones we have, and sometimes some of them can be a little bit tired at the end of the game,” Slote said in post-match interviews with various British TV channels.

“I think that’s what you might see at the end of the game today,” he added.
