Serbian midfielder Sasha Zdelar believes that he is no longer included in the plans of the Moscow football club CSKAso the management did not offer him a new contract. Zdelar spoke about it to Sport Express.
Zdelar moved from CSKA at Zenit in February last year, he left the St. Petersburg team in August.
“CSKA he didn’t offer me a new contract. And I didn’t want to wait until the end of the season and be in uncertainty mode. As a result, Zenit contacted me with a deal for a year and a half and I accepted their offer,” Zdelar said.
The Serbian midfielder understood that the St. Petersburg club was a fundamental rival CSKAbut did not wait for active action from the army team on the new agreement. “And since, apparently, it was no longer part of the club’s plans, I decided to leave,” concluded the footballer.
Zdelar is 30 years old, he played CSKA since July 2022. In total, the midfielder played 96 matches as part of the army club, in which he scored 1 goal and made 1 assist. Together with CSKA Zdelar won the Russian Cup in 2023. As part of the Serbian national team, Zdelar appeared on the field in 9 matches.
