Nigeria beat Egypt in the match for 3rd place at the African Cup, Salah and Marmoush missed penalties in the post-match series
The Nigerian national team defeated the Egyptian team in the match for third place at the African Cup of Nations.
Regular time of the meeting in Casablanca (Morocco) ended with the score 0:0. In the penalty shootout, the Nigerians were more accurate – 4:2.
Egyptian national team forwards Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, who play at the club level for the English Liverpool and Manchester City, respectively, did not convert their attempts in the post-match series.
The teams of Senegal and Morocco will meet in the final of the African Cup of Nations. The match will take place on January 18 and will begin at 22:00 Moscow time.
