Tedeev said that Dzyuba became the captain of Akron
The head coach of Akron Togliatti, Zaur Tedeev, said that forward Artem Dzyuba became the captain of the team.
The previous captain of Akron was Konstantin Savichev, who moved to Torpedo Moscow in the winter transfer window.
— As for the team captain, we certainly have enough players capable of being leaders. But there is no doubt that Dzyuba will be the captain of the team today. He has already led the team in a number of matches and done it quite successfully. Artem is a leader in spirit. This is the person who, through his actions, evokes emotions in other football players – this is the most important thing for the captain,” Tedeev said in a video published by Akron’s press service.
37-year-old Dzyuba played 16 matches for the Tolyatti team this season, in which he scored five goals and gave four assists.
Based on the results of 18 rounds of the MIR RPL, Akron scored 21 points and ranks ninth in the standings.
